Privacy Policy — Athleon

Athleon ("the app", "we", "us") is a workout logging application for Android. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Data stored locally on your device

All workout data you enter — exercises, routines, sets, reps, weights, session history, and personal records — is stored exclusively in a local database on your device. We never transmit this data to our own servers. It does not leave your device unless you choose to create a Google Drive backup (see section 3).

2. RevenueCat (in-app purchases)

Athleon uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscription entitlements. RevenueCat is initialized when the app launches and automatically collects the following:

An anonymous device identifier generated by the RevenueCat SDK (never linked to your name or email)
Purchase and subscription history (if you make a purchase)
App version, OS version, and device locale

This data is processed by RevenueCat on our behalf solely to verify purchase entitlements. It is not used for advertising. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

If you have never made an in-app purchase, only the anonymous device identifier is held by RevenueCat.

3. Google Drive backup (optional)

You may optionally connect your Google account to back up your workout database to Google Drive. If you do:

The backup file is stored in a private, app-only folder on your Google Drive (DRIVE_APPDATA scope). No one else — including us — can see or access this file.
The backup contains only your workout data (the local database described in section 1).
We do not read, process, or retain any data from your Google account beyond what is needed to perform the backup/restore operation.
You can delete the backup at any time from your Google Drive settings (Manage Apps → Athleon → Delete hidden app data).

Connecting to Google Drive is entirely optional. The app is fully functional without it.

4. Notifications and foreground services

The app uses foreground services to run rest timers and display your workout progress in the notification shade while your screen is off or you switch to another app. No data is transmitted for this purpose — it runs entirely on-device.

5. Data we do not collect

We have no analytics SDK (no Firebase, no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, etc.)
We do not collect your name, email address, or any account credentials
We do not serve advertisements and share no data with advertising networks
We do not track your location

6. Data retention

7. Your rights — data deletion

You may request deletion of your data held by RevenueCat at any time. To do so, please fill in our data deletion request form. You will be asked for:

The email address associated with your Google Play account
Your Google Play order ID (starts with GPA.), if you made a purchase

We will process your request within 30 days and confirm by email.

8. Children's privacy

Athleon is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
